Martin grew up in North Texas. After high school, Martin went to Texas A&M University. After earning a B.S. in Political Science with a minor in Language Communication, he studied law at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, where he earned his J.D. During his legal career, he received the American Jurisprudence Awards in bankruptcy and criminal law. Martin began his legal career in 1994 as Deputy Attorney General of the State of Texas. He has been practicing law for over 25 years. Martin has represented plaintiffs in personal injury cases and a variety of family, business and probate litigation to closing. Martin has also litigated cases for three of the five largest auto insurance companies in the United States.

Terry`s role is an important part of Legal & General`s strategy to ensure the firm continues to challenge retail market conventions and adopt a new approach to managing its portfolio to meet the current and future needs of buyers. He joins an established team of over 30 trading specialists. Terry, who reports to Craig Westmacott, Senior Fund Manager at Legal & General, will focus on all retail and leisure investments in linked life insurance and pension funds. Terry comes from Savills Investment Management, where he managed a large portfolio of commercial properties in the UK and continental Europe across various funds. Martin and his wife Vanessa are the proud parents of Mason, Madison and their dog, aptly named “Justice”.

Legal and general: Continued positive momentum and solid balance sheet despite market volatility Martin is a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). He is also a member of the Dallas Bar Association, the Tarrant County Bar Association, the Collin County Bar Association, and the J.L. Turner Legal Association. Martin is a board member of Friends of Deanna, an organization that advocates on behalf of visually impaired students. Martin is the former coach of the Booker T. Washington High School Mock Trial Team, which was ranked as the No. 6 program in the state of Texas (2013-2014). Martin is also an active member of the Life-Changing Faith Christian Fellowship, where he is Director of Small Group Ministry.
